Dr Sarah Chu is a highly accomplished general practitioner with a strong focus on dermatology, travel medicine, paediatrics, and women’s health. She joined Turbot Street Medical Centre as one of its founding doctors after relocating from her previous clinic in Kangaroo Point.

Dr Chu graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She holds multiple postgraduate qualifications, including:

• A Diploma in Dermatology from the Australian Institute of Dermatology
• A Diploma in Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia
• A Diploma in Child Health from Westmead Children’s Hospital and the University of Sydney
• A Certificate in Travel Health® from the International Society of Travel Medicine

She is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (FACTM), and holds additional fellowships in expedition and wilderness medicine.

Dr Chu is passionate about lifelong learning and professional development. She is a Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician through the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine and currently serves as the Honorary Treasurer for the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine.

Known affectionately as the “travel guru” at Cordium, Dr Chu has extensive expertise in travel health and vaccinations. She is also deeply committed to medical education, serving as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and an examiner for the RACGP. She regularly mentors medical students and GP registrars, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for preventative and holistic care.

Dr Chu’s dedication to education, both as a teacher and a learner, is a cornerstone of her practice. Her patients benefit from her up-to-date knowledge, compassionate care, and broad clinical experience.
