Dr Sarah Ryan

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Sarah graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014, and worked at The Prince Charles Hospital, Mater Adults Hospital, Mater Mothers' Hospital and Queensland Children's Hospital for a number of years before joining General Practice in 2017.

Dr Sarah finds it a joy and privilege to journey with her patients through the ups and downs of life, and understands how tricky it can be to prioritise our own health in this busy world. She enjoys all areas of general practice, but has a particular passion for:

  • Contraception & sexual health
  • Pregnancy planning (including discussion regarding genetic screening options, and initial investigations for sub-fertility)
  • Pregnancy and postpartum care of mothers and babies (shared care certified with Mater Mothers’ Hospital & Queensland Health)
  • Menopause & perimenopause
  • Preventative health care (including cancer screening)

Dr Sarah strives to deliver thorough care to all her patients, and to help them feel empowered. She kindly asks that you book a long (20-30min) consultation if you are a new patient, newly pregnant, wish to discuss a mental health issue, or have more than 1 problem to address. This is to allow sufficient time to thoroughly explore and manage these more complex presentations.

Outside of medicine, Sarah spends her days chasing two energetic toddlers (who are adorable but despise sleep!), and dreaming of tropical holidays.

Dr Sarah will be moving to The Butterfly Clinic mid 2024.
