Dr Sarah Ryan
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Sarah Ryan obtained her MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2014. She worked at The Prince Charles Hospital, Mater Adults Hospital, Mater Mothers' Hospital and Queensland Children's Hospital for a number of years before joining General Practice in 2017. Sarah strives to provide holistic care to her patients, and has a particular interest in women's health, pregnancy care and preventative medicine. Sarah has completed her training in contraception insertion, and is accredited to provide shared antenatal care at the Mater Mothers' Hospital in South Brisbane - a world-class maternity hospital, and an excellent option for many of our patients who are international students.
Sarah enjoys welcoming new patients to the practice, and kindly requests a long (20 minute) appointment if you are a new patient, newly pregnant, wish to discuss a mental health issue, or have more than 1 problem to address. This is to allow sufficient time to thoroughly explore and manage these more complex presentations, and we are fortunate that the practice's fee structure ensures the gap (out of pocket) payment remains the same to the patient for these longer consultations.
Outside of medicine Sarah enjoys chasing around her energetic toddler daughter, baking up a storm to indulge her sweet tooth, and dreaming longingly of travelling (and scuba diving) again.
Dr Sarah will be on maternity leave from May 2022.
