Our practice is open 7 days a week to provide you with continuity of care. We are only closed 2 days a year, 25 December and 1 January.
Turbot Street Medical Centre is very popular among all demographics and cultures. We offer a wide range of specialist services, some of which include psychology, psychiatry and women’s health-focused general practice.
Turbot Street Medical Centre is conveniently located on the 1st floor of Spring Hill Market Place (corner of Turbot and Boundary Street ). Free onsite parking is available for the first 2 hours. We are walking distance to Fortitude Valley and only a few minutes from New Farm, Newstead, South Brisbane, West End, Ashgrove, Kelvin Grove, Herston, Red Hill and Paddington.
Turbot Street Medical Centre is a part of Brisbane CBD Doctors, we work alongside our sister practice, Central Station Medical Centre to provide services every day of the week. The patient database is shared which means your records are available from either practice.

Our nurses work under the direction of the doctors and will assist in providing comprehensive coordinated healthcare services.
We are able to serve you in a wide range of languages, these include Spanish, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Farsi, Punjabi and Afrikaans.

Most of our standard appointments are 10 minutes long, if you think you need more time with one of our doctors please advise reception staff of this. A standard appointment includes the discussion of 1-2 issues, more complex or multiple issues should be booked under a long consultation.
We will always do our best to book you with your preferred doctor at your preferred time.
Please be aware that emergencies will be given priority, should this occur when you are scheduled to attend the practice, our staff will ensure every effort is made to contact you.
Due to high demand of appointments at Turbot Street Medical Centre, we do ask that if for any reason you are unable to attend your scheduled consultation that you notify us as soon as possible to allow others the opportunity for an appointment.
A “did not attend” fee of $50 is payable for missed appointments, or appointments cancelled within 2 hours of the scheduled time.
Our staff will contact you to arrange a follow-up appointment should your doctor deem this necessary. Patients are encouraged to contact the practice for results on all investigations. Results cannot be given over the phone, you will be advised that a follow-up consultation for results is to be scheduled with your doctor.
An appointment with your doctor is needed to obtain a repeat prescription, if the consultation is brief, it may be charged at a reduced rate. This service is at the discretion of the treating doctor. Referrals to specialists cannot be provided without a consultation.
Turbot Street Medical Centre use the Brisbane After Hours Doctors service. Brisbane After Hours Doctors are a fully accredited service and is bulk billed to those eligible. Please contact 1300 HOME DR (1300 466 337). Please call 000 for immediate attention in the event of a medical emergency.
Home visits are available in some circumstances. Please discuss these options with reception.
